The Vladimir Potanin Foundation presented the ranking of universities participating in the 2021/2022 Fellowship Program

The presentation was held at the TASS press center

The top three in 2022 are Saint Petersburg State University, Moscow State University and National Research University ITMO.

Oksana Oracheva, General Director of the Foundation: “We are pleased to sum up the results of our annual ranking of universities participating in the Vladimir Potanin Fellowship Program. I am glad to note that, although the top three remained unchanged compared to previous year, this year several universities managed to significantly improve their results.

In addition, this year we are introducing a new, interactive ranking format: we have digitized the entire archive of ranking data since 2004. Now this information is available to everyone on our website.

Being among the 75 universities participating in the Fellowship Program is a recognition and a great opportunity to demonstrate to the academic community how the university creates conditions for the development of students and teachers.”

The top ten of the ranking also includes Irkutsk State University, European University in Saint Petersburg, Ural Federal University (UrFU), Kazan National Research Technical University – KAI, Kazan National Research Technological University, Altai State University and Petrozavodsk State University.

The ranking is an alternative tool for assessing the quality of the educational environment in Russian universities. It reflects the results of the activity of students and teachers of 75 universities participating in the Fellowship Program in the competitive events of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation.

The Vladimir Potanin Fellowship Program exists since 2000 and brings together professionals from higher education and related fields who are ready to contribute to the development of society and ensure the sustainability of changes. It has been published annually since 2004. Since 2013/2014 the ranking has been based on master’s degree programs data because the Vladimir Potanin Foundation Fellowship Program has been focused on master’s students and their professors since 2013.
